2024 Hyundai Santa Fe, featuring a boxier and bolder look. Explore its spacious interior, luxurious features, and sustainable materials.

Hyundai Motor Company has taken the wraps off the fifth-generation 2024 Santa Fe in the global market, revealing a radical redesign. This marks the first full makeover since 2018, and while more details will be disclosed in August, Hyundai has yet to confirm if the new Santa Fe will make its way to India. It's worth noting that the model was discontinued in the Indian market back in 2017.
From the released images, it's evident that the new Santa Fe boasts a significantly boxier and more assertive appearance. The front and rear feature H-shaped lighting elements, providing a reinterpretation of Hyundai's iconic 'H' emblem. Both bumpers have been completely redesigned with squared-off edges, while the bonnet showcases flat surfaces and distinctive creases.

Viewing Santa Fe from the side, its immense size becomes apparent. Hyundai has lengthened the wheelbase to accommodate the stylish roofline. Pronounced wheel arches adorn the sides and are complemented by imposing 21-inch wheels.
At the rear, a sizable tailgate is adorned with horizontal tail lights, and the name "Santa Fe" is prominently spelt out. The presence of roof rails adds to its rugged appeal, though it remains unclear if they are purely decorative or functional.

Hyundai emphasizes that the new Santa Fe offers ample space for outdoor activities such as camping. With fully foldable second and third-row seats, the SUV boasts class-leading interior space. The interior design showcases horizontal and vertical lines, featuring an H-motif design applied to the dashboard and air vents to create an enhanced sense of openness.
Among the revealed features, the new Santa Fe offers a panoramic sunroof, dual wireless chargers, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a digital driver's display. The cabin exudes a bright and airy ambience with vibrant-coloured seats and headliners. Soft-touch wood and Nappa leather seats further enhance the upscale feel.

Notably, Hyundai has integrated several sustainable materials into the Santa Fe. Recycled plastic is used for the suede headliner, car mats, and second-and third-row seatbacks. Additionally, eco-friendly leatherette covers the crash pad and door trims, showcasing the brand's commitment to eco-conscious manufacturing.
The 2024 Santa Fe represents a bold leap forward for Hyundai with its dramatic redesign. While its availability in India is yet to be confirmed, the SUV's boxy and distinctive styling, spacious interior, and luxurious features make it an exciting proposition for global markets.
Hyundai's focus on sustainability is also evident in the use of eco-friendly materials, demonstrating the company's commitment to environmentally conscious practices. Stay tuned for further updates as more details about the new Santa Fe emerge.
