Kawasaki KLX 230 RS Unveiled In India At Rs 1.94 Lakh
Kawasaki’s 2026 KLX 230 has arrived in India. With a 233 cc fuel-injected engine, aggressive styling, long-travel suspension, and a jaw-dropping price of Rs 1.99 lakh.

Kawasaki has unleashed a roaring spectacle for the Indian customers. The Japanese two-wheeler giant has recently launched the 2025 KLX 230 RS with an introductory price of Rs 1.94 Lakh (ex-showroom). The bike will be sold in India alongside its previous iteration, the 2025 KLX 230RS, which was sold in India through CKD import. The new model is made in India and offers refined power and improved performance.
The KLX is known for its off-roading capabilities, as it's a trail bike, so it cannot be used for daily commuting. This is a machine that is designed to set pulses racing and hearts thumping. Kawasaki’s latest dual-sport comes loaded with grit, style, and astonishing value, rewriting every rule of affordable adventure biking. Let us check out the all-new Kawasaki KLX 230 RS and its racing DNA unleashed for Indian roads.
Kawasaki KLX 230 RS: Designed for Adventure
Diving into the design, the 2026 model comes with an all-new high-tensile steel frame and swingarm. Furthermore, the design of the bike continues to be the same as the previous generation. However, minor tweaks have been made in the riding position due to its slightly forward-set handlebars.
The bike is now being manufactured under the Make-In-India scheme. Then there would be some cost-cutting, as with the CKD import model. Due to localization, the brand reduced the suspension setup by 20 mm at the front and 27 mm at the rear and added larger disc brakes. The KLX 230 RS offers a 37 mm telescopic fork and monoshock rear suspension setup.
Engine and Performance
The bike is powered by a 233 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. This engine is capable of producing 19 HP of power and 20 Nm of peak torque. The 2026 LKX 230 RS is paired with a 6-speed transmission configuration. With all such setups, the bike is 14 kg heavier than before. Considering the features, the brand comes with a few minimal features, as it's a tailor-made bike. This includes an updated suspension configuration, a monotone LCD headlamp with Bluetooth, and dual-channel ABS.
Style Revamped
To support the off-roading capabilities, the bike has a ground clearance of 270 mm, while the seat height stands at 900 mm, which is slightly increased from the previous variant. Fresh graphics, distinctive body panels, and KX-inspired exhaust routing scream for attention, whether parked outside a café or tearing through a forest trail. With lime green and battle gray paint schemes, the bike mirrors the spirit of adrenaline itself.
Conclusion
The all-new Kawasaki KLX 230 RS is a statement killer. The bike is designated for high-rev performances, trail-conquering features, and groundbreaking affordability. For those who want the bike for daily adventure riding, then this might be the best choice for an urban rebel.
