To further solidify its presence and dominance in the Indian motorcycle market, Kawasaki is getting ready to introduce a locally manufactured model of the popular Versys-X 300. The announcement has indicated that the Japanese manufacturer are aiming to introduce their Made-in-India variant of Versys-X 300 by the end of 2024.

After the launch of in-house built Kawasaki Versys-X 300, we will witness the bike compete with upcoming KTM 390 Adventure and BMW G 310 GS in the adventure-touring segment.

Unveils Plans

Furthermore, the announcement has fueled the enthusiasm amongst followers who have recently got to know about the undergoing prototype testing spy image in February. Earlier the spied images turned out nothing but a subject of curiosity among followers but now it is crystal clear that the spotted images were actually attributed to Kawasaki's Made-in-India Versys-X 300.

Expanding Domestic Production

The upcoming launch will be a testament to Kawasaki’s expansion plan in India. After the successful production of  Ninja 300 and W175, Versys-X 300 will be the third model to be manufactured domestically. Moreover, experts have envisaged repricing of its models with the debut of Versys-X 300 by the end of 2024.

Performance and Handling

Versys-X 300 features a potent 296cc parallel-twin engine, like its sibling, the Ninja 300. This engine configuration, known for its impressive performance, is anticipated to generate 39 BHP and 26.1 Nm of torque, while mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

Suspension and Safety

When it comes to suspension and braking system, the Indian Version is expected to feature a conventional telescopic fork upfront, complemented by a mono-shock setup at the rear. To ensure safety, the bike will feature disc brakes on both ends, supported by dual-channel ABS technology.

CarBike360 Says

The move taken by Kawasaki will highlight Kawasaki's commitment to serve the concerns of Indian consumers. The decision will also help intensify the competition within the burgeoning adventure motorcycle segment, giving a safer, sportier and more performance oriented choice to Indian bikers.
