Kia Seltos Facelift all variants explained | Price and Difference

Kia recently introduced the 2023 Seltos facelift in India. Starting on July 14, customers can begin booking the new Seltos. The car is available in three different trim lines: Tech Line, GT Line, and X-Line.

The Tech Line is further divided into five trims: HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX, and HTX+. The GT Line and X-Line have one trim each. Let's look at the powertrain options and features offered in each trim.

Powertrain Line-up:

The Seltos facelift retains the 1.5-litre petrol engine generating 115 horsepower and 144Nm of torque, as well as the 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine producing 116 horsepower and 250Nm of torque. 

The petrol engine is available with a 6-speed manual or a CVT, while the diesel engine comes with a 6-speed intelligent manual transmission (iMT) and a 6-speed automatic gearbox. 

Additionally, a new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine delivers 160 horsepower and 253Nm of torque. It can be paired with a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).

The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with a manual gearbox is available in the HTE, HTK, HTK+, and HTX trims. The iMT gearbox is only offered in the HTX trim. 

The 1.5-litre diesel engine is standard with the iMT gearbox in all Tech Line trims (HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX, HTX+), while the torque converter automatic is available in the HTX, GTX+, and X-Line trims. 

In the pre-facelift model, Kia restricted the 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine to the GT Line and X-Line trims. However, with the facelift, the new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine with the iMT gearbox is available in the HTK+ and HTX+ trims. The 7-speed DCT gearbox is available in the HTX+, GTX+, and X-Line trims. Here's a summary of the powertrain lineup:
