The scooter marks the comeback of the Kinetic DX nameplate in the Kinetic lineup. The electric DX pays tribute to the iconic Honda Kinetic DX that became a household name in the late 80s and early 90s.

A Heritage Reborn

For many Indian riders, the original Kinetic Honda DX was more than just a scooter. It was a pure driving companion for many of us. Now, with the surge in electric vehicle adoption, Kinetic Energy Limited has resurrected this beloved nameplate to bring nostalgia into the future.

Kinetic DX EV: Design and Dimension

The all-new Kinetic DX Electric draws heavy inspiration from its two-stroke predecessors. With a strong metal body and spacious floorboard. It also gets the biggest 37-liter under-seat storage. A bright, distinctive headlight flanked by Kinetic-logo-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRLs). The scooter has a 704 mm long seat with 165 mm ground clearance. All this badged under 12-inch tires.

The features of the all-new Kinetic DX are as follows:
  • A small windscreen for better aerodynamics and style
  • LED DRLs
  • USB Charging Port

Battery, Range, and Performance

The Kinetic DX Electric rides on a powerful hub-mounted motor. This motor is capable of producing 4.8 kW output mated to a 2.6 kWh LFP battery. The brand claims that the scooter will be able to achieve a range of 102 km on a single charge. The top speed of the DX is estimated to be about 80 kmph.

There’s another powertrain option for a longer range. This is equipped on the top model, DX+. The top-of-the-line DX+ has a larger battery, a 3.5 kWh pack, for longer distances. The DX+ gets a top speed of 90 kmph with a claimed range of 116 km on a single charge. The automatic transmission system ensures smooth acceleration with minimal effort, keeping the experience accessible for newcomers and enthusiasts alike.

Pricing, Variants, and Colors

The all-new Kinetic DX is available in two variants based on the battery configuration. The DX and DX+ are both available under two battery pack options for Indian customers. The brand also offers three years or 30,000 km of standard warranty on both models.

The Kinetic DX is priced at Rs 111,490 (ex-showroom). Whereas the DX+ is priced at Rs 117,499 (ex-showroom). Both scooters are available in 5 colors—white, blue, black, silver, and red.

Conclusion

Its launch marks a significant step in India’s EV journey, appealing to both classic scooter lovers. The scooter might take you back to the retro 90s era.
