The launch has been confirmed by officials during IBW (Indian Bike Week) 2025. Bookings for the bike are expected to commence in a few days, while deliveries are speculated to begin next month. KTM 390 Adventure R Updates

The Austrian brand KTM has made several changes to the 390 Adventure R. These changes include a 230 mm long-travel suspension and 272 mm ground clearance. Along with that, it now comes equipped with a larger 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel setup compared to the 19-inch front and 17-inch rear offered in the standard model. Moreover, the seat height has also increased to 870 mm from 830 mm, giving the bike a more commanding stance and enhancing its off-road touring capabilities.
Improved Technology and Features
The KTM 390 Adventure R is loaded with several practical features to improve rider convenience. These include a 5-inch full-colour TFT display, USB Type-C port, LED lighting, rally-style windshield, cornering MTC (Motorcycle Traction Control), cornering ABS, cruise control, off-road ABS, and multiple ride modes to choose from depending on the situation. It also offers KTM Connect, which can be used for turn-by-turn navigation, receiving or rejecting calls, and accessing music controls.
Mechanical Updates

It comes with the familiar 399cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that generates 45.3 bhp of power and 39 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox, which ensures smooth shifts while riding. The KTM 390 Adventure R has a kerb weight of 165 kg and comes with a 14-litre fuel tank. The motorcycle is 6 kg lighter than the standard model, making it more maneuverable.
Price and Rivals

The KTM 390 Adventure R is an off-road-focused machine offered with enhanced technology and features compared to the KTM 390 Adventure and Adventure X, which are priced at Rs 3.94 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 3.26 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. It is expected that the 390 Adventure R will be priced slightly higher than the available models, with prices likely ranging between Rs 4 lakh and Rs 4.5 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, the motorcycle will compete with the Himalayan 450 and Triumph Scrambler 400X.
