Price and Tax Details

The new ex-showroom price for the KTM 390 Duke is Rs 3.39 lakh in Delhi. The on-road price has now crossed Rs 4 lakh and stands at Rs 4.07 lakh. Customers will have to pay the current price at the time of delivery. This makes the bike a more expensive option for buyers.

The 40 percent tax rate is a significant factor in the price increase. The government’s decision to raise the tax has directly affected the cost of the bike. KTM had delayed passing this cost to customers but has now adjusted the price to reflect the higher tax.

Upcoming 350cc KTM Duke

KTM appears to have increased the 390 Duke’s price to create a clear gap with the upcoming 350cc Duke. The 350cc Duke will be subject to a lower tax rate of 18 percent. This lower tax will allow KTM to price the new 350cc model more competitively in the market.

The 350cc Duke is expected to produce less power and torque compared to the 390 Duke. KTM has not yet revealed full specifications for the 350cc model. The company aims to attract customers looking for a more affordable option in the Duke lineup.

It remains to be seen how KTM fans will respond to a downsized Duke. The 390 Duke continues to offer higher performance but now comes at a higher price due to the increased tax.
