Maruti EVX Spied Again, Interior & Features Revealed

Just a few days ago we came across the spy video of the Maruti Suzuki EVX while being tested on an Indian highway. And now, the close up spy images of the Maruti EVX exterior as well as interior are out. These latest spy images are much clearer and of high quality than the previous spy video. Thus, we were able to extract a lot of details from them.

Maruti EVX Exterior & Design

In the front of the Maruti Suzuki EVX test mule, one can clearly see the front camera unit for the 360 view system. Also, just below the front camera, there’s also a covered plastic part in the middle of the upper air dam. That is probably the front radar for ADAS tech.

In one of the photos, the front ADAS camera, which is mounted on the top of the front windshield, is also visible. Similarly, the camera’s placed below the ORVMs can also be seen. All these pics confirm that the first EV from Maruti will come equipped with a 360 degree camera and ADAS tech, probably a camera + radar based level 2 ADAS. Apart from these, the frameless aero wipers and the multi projector headlamps are also visible in the spy images.

Coming to the side profile, the c-pillar mounted handle for the rear doors can be seen in one of the spy images. That’s similar to what Swift gets. Also, based on these spy images, it looks like the charging port of the Maruti EVX will be located on the co-driver side front fender. Additionally, the 10 spoke alloys of the EVX also look good. However, there’s no aero inserts on these alloys, which is generally the case with EVs.

Maruti EVX Interior & Features

Coming to the interior spy images, it is clear that the cabin and the dashboard layout of the EVX will be like no other Maruti. It looks like a completely new design.

The spy images give a sneak peek of the two large size screens which look like a connected unit. The steering too looks completely new with two spoke design and a flat bottom.

Looking at the central console area, it seems to be a floating type central console with a large storage space under the floating panel. The charging ports can also be seen in the storage space under the floating panel.

The central console seems embedded with a lot of buttons and controls along with features like a rotary drive mode selector, wireless phone charger, electric parking brake with auto hold, cup holders and a front central arm rest. Additionally, looking carefully on the interior roof lining of the car, one can see the single pane sunroof.

These new spy images confirm that the first EV from Maruti Suzuki will be a feature loaded one. Moreover, it is also likely to be the first Maruti to come with ADAS tech.
