Maruti Suzuki's flagship offering, the Invicto, has received a significant update on its base variant, making it more safety-oriented. The entry-level Invicto Zeta Plus trim now comes with a rear seatbelt reminder feature, which is now standard across all variants. While this enhancement boosts safety levels, it does come with a marginal price increase of ₹ 3,000. The updated Invicto now starts at ₹ 82 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Mandatory Safety Upgrade: Rear Seatbelt Reminder Across All Trims
Initially, the rear seatbelt reminder was exclusive to the top-spec Invicto Alpha Plus trim upon the model's launch. However, given the mandatory requirement of this safety feature in all new cars, Maruti Suzuki has introduced it across the entire Invicto range. The rear seatbelt reminder serves as an audible alert to remind rear passengers to buckle up for enhanced safety.
Feature-Loaded Zeta Plus Variant
The Maruti Suzuki Invicto Zeta Plus variant offers a host of features in both its seven and eight-seater versions. Equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument console, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, six speakers, manually adjustable IRVM, six airbags, ABS with EBD, and three-point seatbelts for all passengers, it ensures a comfortable and secure driving experience.
Comparing with Alpha Plus Trim
While the base variant now enjoys the rear seatbelt reminder, it does miss out on some premium features available in the top-spec Alpha Plus trim. Notable exclusions include a larger infotainment screen, panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate, ventilated front seats, electrically adjustable driver's seat, wireless Apple CarPlay, TPMS, 360-view camera, front and reverse parking sensors, rear window defogger, anti-theft security system, and more.
Efficient Hybrid Powertrain
Under the hood, the Invicto relies solely on a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with an electric motor, creating a combined power output of 184 bhp, mated to an e-CVT unit. The hybrid MPV boasts an impressive fuel efficiency of 23.24 kmpl (ARAI certified), making it a practical and eco-friendly choice.
The Maruti Suzuki Invicto, also known as the badge-engineered version of the Toyota Innova Hycross, continues to strengthen its position as a reliable and feature-rich option in the competitive MPV segment. With the addition of the rear seatbelt reminder as a standard feature, the Invicto further underscores its commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
