MG Windsor EV Surpasses 27000 Units Sales Figure in Just 8 Months of Launch

On Wednesday, JSW MG Motor India reported that MG Windsor EV had surpassed the 27,000 units sales milestone in just 8 months of the official launch in the country. Referred to as India’s best-selling EV, MG Windsor has maintained consistent sales and has been on top in its segment. The addition of the Windsor EV Pro, the Essence Pro, and the Exclusive Pro variants further supported the sales numbers of crossover utility vehicles. 

With these new variants, the customers can access larger battery pack options and a host of the latest tech and safety features. This model lineup extending strategy helped the brand clock 8,000 bookings within 24 hours of the Windsor EV Pro or Essence Pro launch in May 2025. 

Windsor EV Essence Pro and Windsor EV Exclusive Pro contributed 40% of Windsor model sales in May 2025 alone. Along with metro cities, there is a prominent demand for this intelligent CUV in emerging markets, where 48% of total sales come from non-metro cities. Windsor EV has received over 30 awards for its top-end features and value-for-money user experience.

While the starting price of Windsor EV commences from Rs 14 lakh, ex-showroom, the customers can purchase the best-selling electric car at as low as Rs 9.99 lakh plus Rs 3.9 per kilometer under the brand’s BaaS program. 

MG Windsor EV has two battery pack options, 38 kWh and 52.9 kWh, and a single electric motor. The electric powertrain setup of this MG electric CUV produces 136 horsepower and 200 Nm of torque.

The EV features an AeroGlide design, offering it the characteristics of a sedan and the versatility of an SUV. Inside the MG Windsor is business class comfort as it gets Aero Lounge seats reclinable to 135 degrees. Additionally, it has a large 15.6-inch touch display on the center console for easy access to vehicle controls.
