Recently Aprilia RS 457 got launched in India, after these spy shots have emerged online which appears to be a naked version of the bike. As per the nomenclature of Aprilia, the spy shots are assumed to be of Aprilia Tuono 457 which seems to be based on Aprilia RS 457, which is supposed to have the same hardware version.
Tuono 457 has been spotted testing first in Europe and it seems to be an addition in the 457 line of Aprilia. Through the spy images we can look forward to a more relaxed riding posture to be offered to the riders, along with this centre-set footpegs, a wide one-piece handlebar and single-piece seat can also be seen.
Expected Specs
From what is known till yet, we can say that Aprilia Tuono 457 will weigh lighter than the RS 457. The lower body weight of Tuono 457 would help in improving the power-to-weight ratio on the motorcycle. The 457cc liquid cooled, twin cylinder engine will provide 47.6 bhp and 43.5 Nm of peak torque as in RS 457. We can also expect disc brakes at either end with dual-channel ABS, traction control, ride modes, slipper clutch quickshifter, and a digital console.
Since recently Aprilia RS 457 has launched in India, so it would take some time for Tuono 457 to launch and stand in the Indian market.
The bike is set to be built and manufactured by the company in Baramati, in Maharashtra, this will result in overall cost reduction in the ex-showroom price of the model.
