Nissan Magnite Facelift

Nissan, a renowned automaker, is gearing up for a global showcase of the highly anticipated facelift of its popular compact crossover, the Magnite. Set to hit the markets around mid-2024, the updated model promises enhancements to both its exterior and interior.

Design and Performance

Details about the Magnite facelift's specific changes still remain guarded, but the industry insiders suggest that the updates will not only refresh the crossover's appearance but also enhance its overall performance. Nissan aims to position the Magnite as a formidable contender in the competitive crossover market.

Left-Hand Drive (LHD) Variant

One of the most significant developments with the upcoming Magnite is the introduction of a left-hand drive (LHD) version. This strategic move is aimed at tapping into new markets in Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, and Mexico. Currently available in a right-hand drive (RHD) configuration, the addition of the LHD variant is expected to reinforce the Magnite's global reach.

Nissan's Vision

Francois Bailly, Chief Planning Officer at Nissan Motor Corporation, expressed optimism about the Magnite's potential in diverse markets. "The Magnite SUV has been very well received globally. With the left-hand drive version, many new markets will open up. We will explore markets in Africa, the Middle East, LatAm, and Mexico, as we feel we have a car that fits very well for those regions."

Production Boost: Meeting Growing Demand

Nissan is currently manufacturing 25,000 to 30,000 units of the Magnite annually. However, with the introduction of the LHD variant, production capacity is expected to see a significant boost, reaching an estimated 40,000 to 50,000 units per annum. This increase reflects Nissan's commitment to meeting the growing demand for the compact crossovers in emerging markets.

Success in Local and South African Markets

The Magnite's success in local and South African markets has set the stage for its global expansion. The facelifted version aims to build upon this success by offering a refreshed and competitive option to customers worldwide.
