Urban SUV Concept Details

The Urban SUV Concept targets city driving and features a distinctive mauve finish. Its front end includes a split-headlight design, L-shaped daytime running lights, and an illuminated Nissan emblem. The bumper incorporates air curtains with black trim and discreet intakes.

The side profile shows blacked-out pillars and roof, subtle body cladding, and cameras replacing traditional mirrors. The roofline is raked, giving it a dynamic look. At the rear, a connected tail-lamp setup integrates into the tailgate, with an illuminated Nissan wordmark at the center. The design is completed by a dual-fin roof spoiler and a neatly styled bumper.

Terrano Concept Features

The Terrano Concept differs significantly from the previous Indian Terrano model. It adopts a robust, boxy off-road design. The front features rectangular segmented LED headlights, spaced Nissan lettering, a muscular bumper, fender-mounted driving lights, and a bonnet scoop.

On the side, the Terrano Concept includes a large roof rack with driving lights, a ladder on the right, a kinked window line, and prominent squared-off cladding. Chunky off-road tyres further emphasize its rugged nature. The rear has a tailgate-mounted spare wheel secured by a large beam, four small LED tail-lamps, and a muscular bumper.

Powertrain and Launch Timeline

Both the Urban SUV and Terrano Concepts use plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) powertrains. Nissan has not released technical specifications for these systems. The company has confirmed that production versions of both models will launch within the next year in China.

The Terrano nameplate was previously used by Nissan India for a midsize SUV sold from 2013 to 2020. The new Terrano Concept, however, is a completely new design focused on off-road capability.
