Oben Electric has launched the new Rorr Evo electric motorcycle in India at an introductory price of Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom) for the first 10,000 customers. After this initial offer, the price will rise to Rs 1.25 lakh (ex-showroom). This pricing strategy targets the mass-market electric motorcycle segment.

The Oben Rorr Evo is designed as a performance-oriented electric motorcycle. It features a 3.4 kWh LFP battery pack and a motor that delivers 9 kW peak power and 250 Nm wheel torque. The company claims a top speed of 110 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 40 km/h in 3 seconds. The IDC-certified range is 180 km, which is expected to provide over 100 km in real-world daily commuting conditions.

Charging the battery from 0 to 80 percent takes 90 minutes. The battery has an IP67 rating, while the motor is IP68 rated, offering enhanced durability. Oben provides an 8-year battery warranty for long-term ownership confidence.

Features and Practicality

The Rorr Evo uses a chain drive system, which is uncommon among electric motorcycles and may appeal to traditional riders. The suspension setup includes telescopic front forks and a 7-step adjustable monoshock at the rear. The motorcycle offers 200 mm ground clearance, making it suitable for Indian roads. A long seat design aims to improve comfort for both rider and pillion.
