Two senior executives of Ola Electric - Suvonil Chatterjee, Chief Technology Officer, and Anshul Khandelwal, Chief Marketing Officer- resigned. This resignation has become effective from 27 December 2025. According to a regulatory filing, both executives cited personal reasons for their departures.
Chatterjee joined Ola in 2017 as the head of design and in November 2022, he got promoted to CTO. Talking about his previous experience, he has worked with Flipkart, Housing.com, and Unacademy.
Khandelwal, Ola’s ex-CMO joined Foodpanda in 2018 as the Head of Marketing and then transitioned to CMO in May 2022. Talking about his previous work experience, he has worked with companies like BlueStone, 3M India, and UpGrad.
Their resignations hold significant importance as Ola Electric is gearing up to transition its electric scooters to the new Gen 3 platform, which is expected to enhance performance by 26% and reduce costs by over 20%. Recently, the company expanded its service network significantly, increasing from 800 to 4,000 stores nationwide.
This leadership change follows a series of high-profile exits within the company, including the resignation of N Balachandar, Chief People Officer (CPO), earlier this month. The ongoing restructuring at Ola Electric has impacted around 500 employees as part of efforts to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
Despite these changes, Ola Electric continues to focus on its growth strategy and innovation in the electric vehicle sector.
