The Raptee.HV T 30, a high-performance electric bike, has been officially launched at a price of Rs 2.39 lakh. This new electric two-wheeler stands out in the market due to its CCS2 charging port—an advanced charging technology that is usually seen only in electric cars. Here's a closer look at the key details of this innovative e-bike. The e-bike comes with an extensive 8-year/80,000km warranty, providing peace of mind to its owners.
Charging, Range and Performance
Raptee.HV claims an impressive 200km+ IDC range, which is expected to offer a realistic 150km in everyday use, powered by its IP67-rated battery pack. The T 30 can accelerate from 0 to 60 kph in under 3.5 seconds, a performance that puts it in the same league as petrol-powered bikes in the 250-300cc segment. This acceleration is comparable to that of the Suzuki V-Strom SX (3.5 seconds) and the KTM 250 Duke (3.06 seconds).
High-Voltage Architecture and CCS2 Charging Port
One of the most notable aspects of the Raptee.HV T 30 is its high-voltage architecture, a first for motorcycles in India. While the exact voltage figure hasn't been revealed, "240V" is prominently displayed on the bike, hinting at its 240-volt system. The inclusion of a CCS2 charging port makes this bike compatible with most car charging stations across the country, a unique feature that sets it apart from other electric motorcycles.
Market Position and Rivals
The T 30 finds itself in a unique position in the electric two-wheeler market. Priced at Rs 2.39 lakh, it sits above the Matter Aera (Rs 1.74 lakh) and below the Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 (Rs 2.99 lakh). While there aren’t many direct competitors, the TVS X electric scooter, priced at Rs 2.50 lakh, comes closest, though it is yet to be widely available on the roads. In the petrol segment, similarly priced motorcycles include the Harley-Davidson X440, Royal Enfield Guerilla 450, Triumph Speed 400, and KTM 250 Duke.
