Renault Duster, known for its prowess as a true SUV, recently unveiled its new generation model. Beyond the C-pillars, a digital transformation has given birth to the new Renault Duster Pickup Truck, envisioned to follow the footsteps of the successful Duster SUV.

Duster Oroch

Renault Duster Oroch, the 4-door pickup truck variant of the regular Duster, has been available in various countries since 2015. Developed by Renault Technologie Roumanie in Romania, the Oroch made its debut at the Sao Paulo Motor Show in 2014. With the new Duster in the spotlight, speculations arise about an upcoming Duster Oroch based on the latest generation.

A Renault Touch for India

Kolesa from Russia presents a rendering of the next-generation Renault Duster Pickup Truck, envisioning it as a Renault model rather than a Dacia. This design aligns with the recently debuted Turkey-spec Renault Duster, featuring a bold black plaque with RENAULT lettering dominating the front fascia. The design elements lean towards the preferences of the Indian market.

Pickup Practicality

In contrast to longer pickup trucks like the Tata Xenon XT and Mahindra Scorpio Getaway in India, the Duster Oroch maintains a compact size of just 4.7 meters. The rendering keeps true to the Oroch tradition, offering a utility-focused truck bed without a physically separated load bay. The rear design takes on a rugged appearance, with the familiar taillights connected by a black plaque.

Powertrain Speculations

The Russia-based Kolesa's vision of the Renault Duster Pickup Truck suggests it might be powered by either the 1.6L petrol or 2.0L petrol engines with optional AWD. For the Indian market, powertrain details remain uncertain, given Renault's current engine offerings. If launched, the Duster Pickup Truck could emerge as a strong contender against the upcoming Mahindra Scorpio X pickup, offering a blend of practicality and style in the pickup segment.

CarBike360 Says

The anticipated Renault Duster Pickup Truck, inspired by the new Duster SUV, promises to bring a compact yet practical solution to the pickup market. With a distinctive Renault touch, this rendering envisions a formidable competitor for the upcoming Mahindra Scorpio X, combining utility and style for diverse driving preferences.
