Mahindra April 2026 Sales: Scorpio, Thar, XUV7XO Lead, Electric SUVs Expand

Mahindra reported total passenger vehicle sales of 56,331 units in April 2026. This marked a 7.65% increase compared to 52,330 units sold in April 2025. However, sales declined by 6.54% from 60,272 units in March 2026. The drop followed the usual year-end push in March, when automakers see higher dispatches and registrations.

Key Model Performance
SUVs remained central to Mahindra's portfolio. The Scorpio and Thar together accounted for over 44% of total sales in April 2026. The Scorpio / N was the top-selling model, with 14,719 units sold. This represented a 5.25% decline year-on-year from 15,534 units in April 2025. Month-on-month, Scorpio sales rose slightly by 0.97%.
The Thar / ROXX followed with 10,459 units sold, down 2.28% year-on-year. Compared to March 2026, Thar sales fell by 3.80%. The Bolero posted positive growth, selling 8,917 units, a 6.41% rise over 8,380 units in April 2025. However, Bolero sales dropped 8.90% month-on-month.
The XUV 7XO showed strong performance, with sales reaching 8,630 units. This was a 26.71% increase year-on-year. Month-on-month, XUV 7XO sales declined by 6.30%. The XUV 3XO / EV recorded 7,517 units in April 2026, nearly flat year-on-year with a 0.67% decrease. Month-on-month, sales dropped 18.28%.
Electric SUV Segment Growth
Mahindra's electric SUV lineup continued to expand its market share. The XEV 9S sold 3,242 units in April 2026. Month-on-month, sales remained almost unchanged with a 0.37% decline. The BE 6 posted significant year-on-year growth, selling 1,170 units compared to 550 units in April 2025, a 112.73% increase. However, BE 6 sales fell 21.74% month-on-month.
Lower in the rankings, the XUV400 saw a sharp decline, with only 66 units sold in April 2026. This was an 80.42% drop year-on-year and a 43.59% decrease from March 2026. The Marazzo did not record any sales during the month.
Outlook and Future Plans
Mahindra's sales momentum remains driven by strong demand for SUVs such as the Scorpio, Thar, and XUV 7XO. The company's newer electric SUVs are gradually increasing their contribution to total volumes. Mahindra plans to introduce more models under its ‘Aspiration 2030’ strategy, aiming to sustain growth into FY2027.
