Design and Exterior Features

The Sierra EV's front fascia differs from the ICE model, removing the black closed grille and adopting a clean, minimalistic look. The Tata logo is centered on the front, with a front camera positioned below it. The SUV features sleek LED daytime running lights, horizontally placed headlamps, and vertically arranged fog lamps. The 'Sierra' badge is absent from the front in the EV version. The front bumper is seamless, with integrated airdam and front parking sensors, and a silver lower section enhances its rugged appearance.
From the side, the Sierra EV maintains a similar profile to its ICE counterpart. It includes flush door handles, a 'Tata.ev' logo on the front doors, integrated roof rails, and a charging port above the rear wheel cladding. The outside rear view mirrors and A-pillar are blacked out, and a black shark-fin antenna is mounted on the roof. The C-pillar and roofline are also blacked out, with a design nod to the original Sierra's alpine glass silhouette.
The rear of the Sierra EV features extended haunches for a muscular stance, an upright section, and an integrated spoiler. A connected taillamp runs across the tailgate, with Tata and Sierra EV badging below the strip. The rear bumper is blacked out with a silver accent, and houses the rear camera, registration plate, and parking sensors.
The Sierra EV is offered in seven color options. The Empowered variant is available in six: Pristine White, Pure Grey, Coorg Cloud, Bengal Rouge, Andaman Adventure, and Rishikesh Rapids. The Nainital Nocturne color is exclusive to the AWD variant.
Interior, Features, and Safety
The Empowered variant features a layered dashboard and a dual-tone white and black interior. Seats have white upholstery with grey accents. The SUV offers a triple-screen setup: a digital instrument cluster and two touchscreen units. The four-spoke steering wheel is leather-wrapped with integrated controls.
Standard features include 18-inch alloy wheels, LED projector headlamps, rear window sun blind, flush door handles, a 12.3-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless charger, USB Type-C ports with 65W charging at the rear, connected car technology, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, and a rear wiper with washer.
From the Empowered variant onwards, additional features include a triple-screen layout with a passenger infotainment screen, ventilated front seats, panoramic sunroof, booster headlamps, puddle lamps, fog lamps, a 6-way powered driver seat with memory, 60-40 split rear seat with two-stage recline, dual-zone climate control, leatherette interior, adjustable center headrest, and four terrain modes. The Empowered trim also offers Vehicle-to-Load (V2L), Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V), and a 12-speaker JBL-Black sound system.
Safety features include six airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, hill hold assist, hill descent control, cornering stability control, tyre pressure monitoring system, automatic parking brake, all-wheel disc brakes, paddle shifters for regenerative braking, and an electronic parking brake. The Empowered trim adds a 360-degree camera and front and rear parking sensors.
Powertrain, Charging, and Pricing
The Sierra EV Empowered is available with two battery options: 63 kWh and 75 kWh, both in rear-wheel-drive configuration. The ex-showroom price does not include a charger; a 7.2 kW AC fast charger is available for Rs 49,000. The vehicle supports DC charging up to 120 kW, charging from 20 percent to 80 percent in 26 minutes.
Prices for the Tata Sierra EV start at Rs 18.79 lakh (ex-showroom). The Empowered variant with the 63 kWh battery is priced at Rs 22.79 lakh, while the 75 kWh version costs Rs 23.79 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India).
The Tata Sierra EV competes with compact electric SUVs such as the Mahindra BE 6, Hyundai Creta Electric, VinFast VF6, MG ZS EV, VinFast VF7, Maruti e Vitara, and Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella. The Empowered trim is suitable for buyers seeking essential features without all-wheel-drive or a head-up display, offering both battery options in rear-wheel-drive only.
