Priced at a premium INR 2,34,999 (ex-showroom), this electric scooter isn't just another addition to the market. Serving as the brand’s fourth major product action of 2026, the Ultra arrives as a formidable part of the Gen 2 portfolio. Bookings commenced earlier this year, and with deliveries already underway since last month, customers can now secure theirs immediately. It promises to set a fresh benchmark for high-performance architecture, completely transforming how enthusiasts experience their daily electric commutes.

Unmatched Range and Thrilling Performance

At the heart of the Simple Ultra lies a massive 6.5 kWh battery pack, which is the secret behind its staggering Indian Driving Cycle (IDC) range of 400 km on a single charge. For buyers who regularly travel between cities or have long daily commutes, this effectively eliminates the constant worry of finding the next charging station.

Tapping into its high-performance DNA, the Ultra can achieve a remarkable top speed of 115 kmph. For those who crave off-the-line acceleration, it does not disappoint, rocketing from 0 to 40 kmph in a blistering 2.77 seconds. This impressive sprint time makes the Ultra the second-fastest electric scooter in the Indian market, trailing closely behind its own sibling, the 5 kWh variant of the Simple One.

Tech-Loaded and Rider-Focused

To handle this level of performance safely, the company has packed the scooter with intelligent riding aids. A notable addition is the four-level traction control system, a feature generally reserved for premium motorcycles, ensuring maximum grip across varying road conditions. The rider's cockpit is equally futuristic, dominated by a crisp seven-inch display console that relays all vital telemetry and connectivity features on the go.

Suhas Rajkumar, Founder and CEO of Simple Energy, emphasized that the brand engineers with clear intent, crafting the Ultra specifically for riders who refuse to compromise between extreme range and sheer performance. By delivering this level of engineering at scale, the startup aims to provide a genuinely anxiety-free ownership experience backed by a strong network.

The introduction of the Ultra perfectly complements the company’s recently updated Gen 2 lineup. The Simple One Gen 2 offers an IDC range of up to 265 km starting at INR 1,94,999, while the accessible Simple OneS Gen 2 promises 190 km of range at INR 1,74,999.

Furthermore, as the first Indian original equipment manufacturer to offer a lifetime warranty on both the motor and battery, Simple Energy continues to prioritize long-term peace of mind for buyers. With test rides currently available at retail stores and bookings open via their official website, the Simple Ultra represents a bold new chapter for electric mobility.

Network Expansion

Simple Energy is well aware that accessibility is crucial, boasting a growing pan-India retail footprint that currently spans close to 70 touchpoints. Enthusiasts in major cities like Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Goa can already experience the Ultra firsthand. Looking ahead, the brand plans to aggressively expand its presence into emerging markets, including Nagpur, Ranchi, and Bhubaneshwar, in the coming months.
