Triumph Motorcycles has released an enticing teaser for its upcoming Speed Twin 1200 RS. The British manufacturer's social media channels recently showcased glimpses of this new addition to their modern classic range, captioned "Get Ready. New Triumph Launching Soon." The teaser reveals a striking orange paint scheme decorated with black and silver accents, hinting at a fresh take on the popular Speed Twin platform. While detailed specifications remain unconfirmed, the brief video offers enthusiasts an idea about what’s to come.
The teaser footage highlights several noteworthy features of the Speed Twin 1200 RS:
- A prominent RS logo on the lower portion of the fuel tank
- Three white stripes flowing towards the front of the bike
- A glossy orange paint finish complemented by black, silver, and chrome elements
Building upon the standard Speed Twin 1200's foundation, the RS variant is expected to offer enhanced performance and premium components. The current model features a 1,200 cc parallel-twin engine producing 99 bhp and 112 Nm of torque. Industry speculation suggests the RS could see a power increase to approximately 103 bhp, further improving the bike's impressive capabilities.
While the fundamental characteristics of the Speed Twin 1200 are likely to remain intact, riders can anticipate possible upgrades to the suspension, brakes, and tyres. The existing model features 43 mm Marzocchi USD front forks, twin rear shocks, Brembo brake calipers, and Metzeler Racetec RR tyres.
As for availability, the Speed Twin 1200 RS is expected to make its global debut first, with an Indian launch potentially following later in the year or 2025. Bajaj, now distributing Triumph's full range in India, will likely introduce the RS variant at a slightly higher price than the standard Speed Twin 1200, which currently retails at ₹11.09 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Motorcycle enthusiasts eagerly await further details on this exciting addition to Triumph's modern classic line-up.
