Suzuki has raised the bar in the adventure touring segment with the unveiling of its latest offering, the V-Strom 800 DE, at the prestigious Bharat Mobility Expo 2024. 

Technical Specifications  

Powering the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE is a robust 776cc parallel-twin engine capable of generating 83bhp and 78Nm of torque, mated to a smooth six-speed gearbox. The motorcycle boasts a sturdy steel chassis complemented by fully adjustable Showa USD forks at the front and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock. Its formidable presence on any terrain is enhanced by a 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheel setup wrapped in Dunlop Trailmax Mixtour tires.

Features

The V-Strom 800DE isn't just about power and performance; it's laden with a plethora of features aimed at enhancing rider experience and safety. Riders can expect a five-inch TFT display, LED illumination for enhanced visibility, traction control system, ride-by-wire throttle, bi-directional quickshifter, and multiple ride modes among other advanced functionalities.

While Suzuki remains coy about the precise launch date, industry insiders anticipate the V-Strom 800DE to hit Indian roads sometime in March 2024. The adventure tourer will be imported into India via the CKD (Completely Knocked Down) route, allowing Suzuki to offer competitive pricing, estimated to range between Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. 11 lakh (ex-showroom). 

Positioned to rival formidable competitors like the Triumph Tiger 900, BMW F 850 GS, and the Honda XL750 Transalp, the V-Strom 800DE promises to deliver a thrilling ride experience coupled with advanced features.
