Tata Power launches Telangana first high speed MegaCharger EV hub in Hyderabad
Tata Power strengthens the Hyderabad EV ecosystem with Telangana's first MegaCharger hub, enabling faster, efficient, and reliable electric vehicle charging.

Tata Power and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility have opened Telangana’s first high-speed TATA.ev megacharger hub in Hyderabad. The facility offers 360 kW ultra-fast charging and can serve up to six electric vehicles at the same time. It operates 24 hours a day and is open to all users.

Facility Details and Operations
The new MegaCharger Hub is located at iLabs Centre Pvt. Ltd. in Hyderabad’s Hitech City. It features three 120 kW charging dispensers, providing a total charging capacity of 360 kW. Up to six vehicles can charge simultaneously at this site. The hub is available round the clock for private vehicle owners, commercial fleets, ride-hailing services, intercity travelers, and corporate commuters.
The facility aims to address the increasing demand for electric vehicle charging infrastructure in Hyderabad. The city is recognized as one of India’s fastest-growing technology and business centers. The hub also supports Telangana’s broader sustainability objectives.
Network Expansion and Accessibility
The inauguration event included Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary to the Government of Telangana, and Gopalakrishnan VC, Director of the Automotive and EV Sector at the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Karnataka. Representatives from Tata Power and Tata Motors also attended.
The Hyderabad hub is part of the larger TATA.ev MegaCharger network managed by Tata Passenger Electric Mobility. The network now includes over 750 charging points across major corridors and cities in India. Many of these charging points are accessible through the Tata Power EZ Charge app, which has more than 500,000 registered users.
Tata Power’s Charging Network and Sustainability Goals
Tata Power’s total EV charging network now covers more than 6,500 public charging points in over 700 cities and towns. The network includes locations at highways, airports, workplaces, commercial sites, residential communities, and transit corridors. In addition, Tata Power has installed over 230,000 home chargers in collaboration with automotive manufacturers.
Tata Power is part of the Tata Group and manages a power generation, transmission, and distribution portfolio totaling 16.3 GW. Of this, 7.5 GW comes from clean energy sources. The company has set a target to achieve net-zero emissions by 2045.
