Triumph has teased a new motorcycle and announced that it will be globally unveiled on January 9, 2024. Based on the teaser image, we believe it will be a completely redesigned Triumph Daytona 660. The motorcycle is set to compete with Tiger Sport 660 and Trident 660.
As previously mentioned, the Triumph Daytona 660 will make its world premiere on January 9. The expected price of Daytona 660 is assumed to be near Rs 11.5 Lakhs. Currently the prices of the Trident 660 is 8.12 lakh (ex-showroom price) and the Tiger Sport 660 is 9.34 lakh (ex-showroom).
The bike's Indian introduction in early 2024 expected to be priced at approximately Rs 10 lakh. The price of Daytona 660 is expected to compete with the Honda CBR650R, Kawasaki Ninja 650, Aprilia RS 660, and the upcoming Yamaha R7.
The super-sport bike silhouette in the teaser features the number "660" on the lower portion of the bike. It is anticipated to be powered by a liquid-cooled, inline three-cylinder, 660cc engine. This is expected to generate 64Nm of torque and 81PS of power. Triumph might modify the engine tuning to better fit the bike's personality to go with its name.
The 660cc supersport, which was spotted a few months ago, appears to have slightly more comfortable ergonomics and be more of a sports bike than a dedicated daily-use commuter machine, similar to the previous generation Daytonas. This is based on the riding position seen in the pictures. It seems like it will have the same engine as a roadster and adventure bike. This would additionally enable the brand to attract a broader range of Triumph enthusiasts.
