December is an opportunistic month for vehicle buyers in India, particularly 2-wheelers. Many automotive companies announce huge discounts on their vehicles to clear their available stock. This is an effective strategy for increasing the annual sales figures. A lot of companies have already announced their year-end discount offers in popular models including Triumph.

The Speed T4 is one of the best-selling bikes in India and the company announced a massive discount of Rs 18,000 in its ex-showroom price. After the discount, customers can buy it for Rs 1,99,000, which was originally priced at Rs 2,17,000 (ex-showroom, New Delhi). This limited offer is only available until the stock lasts or the year comes to an end on 31st December, whichever comes first. Let’s explore what will you get in Triumph Speed T4.

Design

The Triumph Speed T4 shares its silhouette with the Triumph Speed 400 which is a neo-retro design that features a round LED headlight, a tear-drop-shaped fuel tank, and a sleek tail section, giving it a sporty appearance.

Engine and Power

The Speed T4 is powered by a 398cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, similar to its sibling Speed 400. However, the T4's engine produces slightly less power at 31PS at 7,000 rpm and torque of 36Nm at 5,000 rpm, which is 9PS and 1.5Nm less than the Speed 400. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox with a slip and assist clutch.

Features

The Speed T4 is equipped with a semi-digital instrument cluster that includes an LCD screen alongside an analog speedometer. The LCD displays essential information such as fuel gauge, trip meters, tachometer, and gear position indicator. Additionally, it features all-LED lighting and comes with a USB charging port for charging IoT devices like smartphones on the go.

Suspension and Braking

The suspension includes a telescopic fork in the front and a mono-shock in the rear. Braking in Speed T4 is managed by a 300mm disc at the front and a 230mm disc at the rear with dual-channel ABS.

Wheels and Dimensions

The Speed T4 runs on 17-inch wheels with a 1406 mm wheelbase with a total kerb weight of 180 kg. The seat height is about 806 mm and the overall width measures 827 mm, whereas the overall height of this motorcycle is 1098 mm. Talking about the fuel tank and mileage, it can fill up to 13 liters and can travel for 30 km per liter.

Rivals

In terms of competition, the Triumph Speed T4 faces off against models like the Hero Mavrick 440, Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z, Royal Enfield Hunter 350, and Honda CB350RS.
