TVS Motor has recently launched its first-ever adventure touring motorcycle, the Apache RTX 300, this month. The latest adventure tourer has triggered a strong interest since its launch. Talking about its design, the bike blends everyday usability with capable off-road dynamics. Being a mid-size adventure segment bike, the brand claims to drive on three different roads across the nation.
However, just two weeks after the launch, TVS has increased the pricing for the top-end BTO (Built-To-Order) variant by Rs 5,000. This increase in ex-showroom price might impact the sales figures of the Apache RTX 300 BTO version. The top-trim-level bikes command the highest price and come loaded with advanced features aimed at serious adventure enthusiasts. Let’s take a look at the initial reason for such an increment.
TVS Apache RTX 300: Price Hike Details
The BTO variant is the top-of-the-line under the Apache RTX 300 portfolio. The bike is priced at Rs 2.29 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. However, the pricing of the motorcycle has been increased by Rs 5,000, so the new revised price of the bike will be around Rs 2.34 lakh. This increment comes shortly after the launch, indicating adjustments likely due to component costs or market conditions. The base and mid-level top variants remain unchanged in price for now.
Adventurous Features
The Apache RTX 300 is offered in three trim levels: these are Base, Top, and BTO. The base variant targets riders seeking a value-packed entry into adventure touring, equipped with four riding modes, cruise control, traction control settings, and ABS. It retails at around Rs 1.99 lakh. The mid-range Top trim level adds extras like smartphone map mirroring, a bi-directional quick shifter, and a variable intensity headlamp, priced at Rs 2.14 lakh approximately.
The top BTO trim is now one of the costliest trim levels. This edition offers riders an adjustable front and rear suspension, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and a brass-coated chain for added durability. This variant also features an exclusive Viper Green color option and comes with advanced touring capabilities.

Market Impact
Variant | Launch Price (ex-showroom, Delhi) | Current Price (ex-showroom, Delhi) |
Base | Rs 1.99 Lakh (Lightning Black, Pearl White) | No Changes |
Top | Rs 2.14 Lakh (Lightning Blck, Metallic Blue, Tarn Bronze) | No Changes |
Rs 2.29 Lakh (Viper Green, Lightning Black, Metallic Blue, Tran Bronze) | Rs 2.34 Lakh (Viper Green) |
The Apache RTX 300, with its rally-inspired styling and tech-loaded packages, aims to carve a niche in the competitive adventure segment against rivals like the KTM 250 Adventure and Suzuki V-Strom SX 250. The price hike for the BTO variant may be a strategic step to maintain profitability while meeting rising input costs.
Conclusion
The Base and Top variants remain attractive options for riders balancing cost and technology. The recent price change is expected to have minimal disruption as bookings and deliveries ramp up. TVS’s prompt price revision for the Apache RTX 300 BTO variant reflects the dynamic pricing strategies in the evolving adventure bike market. Adventure enthusiasts looking for a mid-size ADV must consider the updated costing when making their choice.
