TVS Plans a global launch for Norton Motorcycle

Now, TVS is making a bold move to be the first Indian two-wheeler manufacturer to enter the sport bike segment. TVS has already gained engineering excellence and racing dynamics with the Apache RTR series; now, they want to move further beyond. Norton’s next-gen lineup is to be sold in the UK, India, and key European markets. With Norton, TVS will fill up the premium two-wheeler market space in India.

TVS has eagerly waited for the relaunch of the iconic British brand Norton. Under the TVS ownership, the Norton motorcycles will make their official debut with their 1200 cc four-cylinder superbike. This new 1200 cc flagship bike is expected to be introduced at the upcoming EICMA 2025 motorcycle show in Milan, Italy. This event is to be held in November 2025, later this year.

TVS acquired Norton Motorcycle in 2020

TVS Motor Company India acquired Norton Motorcycles in 2020 through an all-cash deal of around 16 million dollars. The iconic British two-wheeler has been in a robust development phase, focusing on a diverse portfolio that blends classic British design with modern dynamism and technology. TVS acquiring Norton was a strategic move to enter the premium motorcycle segment globally.

Now, TVS has taken initial steps in the company’s research and development. To diversify the business, both brands will share the design and constructive development of the upcoming bikes. Norton currently has 3 motorcycles under its portfolio: Commando 961, V4SV, and V4CR. Some of the models have been put into production at the Solihull facility. But TVS confirmed that a few selected models will be put into production at the Hosur plant, Tamil Nadu.

Conclusion
