Vespa Primavera 180 and Sprint 180 Launched in Indonesia from IDR 55 Million

Vespa has officially launched the new Primavera 180 and Sprint 180 in Indonesia, priced at IDR 55 million. Both scooters boast a 180cc engine, enhanced performance, and signature Vespa styling.

Vespa has launched the new Primavera 180 and Sprint 180 scooters in Indonesia, replacing the earlier 150cc models. The starting price for the Vespa Primavera 180 is IDR 55,000,000 (Rs 2.99 lakh), while the Sprint 180 starts at IDR 58,500,000 (Rs 3.18 lakh). The top-spec Sprint Tech 180 is priced at IDR 66,000,000 (Rs 3.59 lakh). There is no official confirmation about their launch in other markets, including Europe and India.

Engine and Performance Upgrades

Both the Primavera 180 and Sprint 180 use a new 174cc air-cooled, single-cylinder i-get 180 engine. This engine produces 15 HP at 8,250 RPM and 13.7 Nm of torque at 6,500 RPM. The previous 150cc models delivered 12.5 HP and 12.5 Nm of torque. The new engine offers an increase of 2.5 HP and 1.2 Nm over the older units. In Indonesia, these scooters meet Euro 3 emission standards.

Emission figures may differ in other markets due to local regulations. The Primavera 180 is available in two variants, while the Sprint 180 comes in three variants. In India, Vespa scooters are currently available only up to 150cc.

The overall design of the new 180cc models remains similar to their 150cc predecessors, with only minor changes to the bodywork. Vespa has added several new features to enhance the riding experience. All variants now offer a remote key system and a color digital instrument cluster.

The base Primavera 180 variant includes a full-color LCD, new alloy wheels, round chrome-finished mirrors, chrome body garnish, thermal exhaust protection, and a single-piece seat. It is available in three color options. The Primavera 180 S variant also offers three colors and adds a keyless system.

The base Sprint 180 comes in two color options and features a new wheel design and side grids. The Sprint S variant is available in three colors, with a new saddle design and a keyless system. The top-spec Sprint Tech 180 is offered in a single grey Travolgente color. It features exclusive graphics, fluo-green accents, a 5-inch TFT dashboard, ambient lighting, a keyless system, and MIA connectivity.

All variants of the Primavera 180 and Sprint 180 come with single-channel ABS, except for the Sprint Tech 180, which features dual-channel ABS.

Market Availability and Pricing

The new Vespa Primavera 180 and Sprint 180 are currently available only in Indonesia. There is no word yet on their launch in other countries. The S variants of both models are priced slightly higher than the base versions.
