The Vietnam carmaker, VinFast, has finally started its India innings with the launch of the much-awaited VinFast VF6 car. This mid-size electric SUV has been launched in India with an introductory price of Rs 16.49 lakh (ex-showroom). This sleek, coupe-inspired SUV is engineered for modern lifestyles, blending cutting-edge technology with bold design, ready to take on rivals such as the Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata Curvv EV, and Mahindra BE 6.
The car comes with distinct vibrant colors and an advanced minimalist design that is inspired by the philosophy of ‘The Duality in Nature.’ The brand offers contrasting qualities of fun and sophistication blended with modernity. VinFast also launched its premium SUV VF7, but today we'll focus on the entry-level SUV VF6 and what it has to offer Indian customers.
Design

The recently launched VinFast VF6 carries a sleek, coupe-inspired appearance. The duality in nature with subtle modernity and an upright SUV silhouette describes the frontal face of the car. The front fascia of the car is decorated by VF’s V-LED signature that brings clarity to the road, encapsulated by split LED DRLs. At the rear, the car is poised with the connected LED taillights that surround the VinFast emblems.
The compact sports a sleek look and offers a balanced stance with a 190 mm ground clearance, ideal for Indian roads. The side profile of the car comes with generous plastic cladding and a sloping roofline, all arched on the dual-tone 18-inch alloy wheels.
Interiors: Minimalist, Premium, and Tech-Focused

The VinFast VF6’s astonishing interiors have been graced by a 12.9-inch freestanding infotainment system, which centralizes most regular controls. However, there is no auxiliary digital driver’s display or any kind of instrument cluster. Though the brand offers the heads-up display for the same proceedings.
The dashboard embraces a minimalist ethos of modernity with a futuristic touch. The SUV offers two distinct interior themes, such as an all-black or a sophisticated mocha brown and black dual-tone option, with soft-touch materials amplifying comfort, and all are wrapped under premium vegan leather upholstery.
VinFast VF6: Refined Features
The car is generously equipped with features such as ventilated front seats, an 8-speaker sound system, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. But when we moved to a higher trim level, we got dual-zone climate control with PM 1.0 air filtration and a panoramic glass roof that floods the interior with natural light. Safety is prioritized with seven airbags,
Considering the safety features the car offers, Level 2 ADAS includes auto park assist, rain-sensing wipers, 360-degree cameras, and an electronic parking brake.
Battery and Range

At its core, the VF6 is powered by a 59.6 kWh battery pack coupled with a front-mounted electric motor. The base Earth variant delivers 174 HP and 250 Nm torque, offering an ARAI-certified range of up to 468 km on a single charge. But when we moved to the mid-trim Wind, the car could generate up to 204 HP and 310 Nm of torque. Charging versatility includes 3.3 kW and 7.2 kW AC chargers and DC fast charging capable of taking the battery from 10 to 70 percent in about 25 minutes.
Colors and Variants
The VF6 comes in three trims. These are Earth, Wind, and Wind Infinity. Customers can choose their personalized drive in six vibrant colors, such as Jet Black, Crimson Red, Urban Mint, Desat Silver, Infinity Blanc, and Zenith Grey, ensuring an aesthetic match to individual style preferences.
Conclusion
The 2025 VinFast VF6 marks a thrilling new chapter in India’s EV market. With a sharp design, a tech-savvy luxurious interior, robust performance, and competitive pricing, it challenges established players by offering more than transportation.
