The VLF Mobster 135, Italy's personified petrol scooter, debuts in India. The brand has commenced assembly at the Kolhapur plant in Maharashtra. Partnering with Motohaus and KAW Veloce Motors, this CKD-based production fulfills surging demand after its September 2025 launch at Rs 1.30 lakh ex-showroom. Over 2,500 bookings in the first month signal strong buyer interest in its premium features.
Deliveries kick off next month from 12 initial dealerships in key cities like Delhi, Pune, and Bengaluru, expanding to 25 by year-end. This liquid-cooled 125 cc powerhouse, styled by Alessandro Tartarini, blends ADV ruggedness with urban agility, backed by a 4-year/40,000 km warranty. Let’s check out what possible features the Mobster 135 could offer for Indian customers.
The Mobster 135 boasts aggressive lines from Italjet designer Alessandro Tartarini, featuring twin projector LED headlamps, all-LED lighting, and illuminated switchgear. Its 5-inch TFT display offers Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, and call alerts, paired with keyless ignition and auto start/stop for seamless rides. At 122 kg kerb weight, 797 mm seat height, and 155 mm ground clearance, it suits diverse riders.
Segment-first switchable traction control and optional dashcam accessories like top boxes and crash guards enhance versatility. The high-tensile steel frame and 12-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres (120/70 front, 130/70 rear) deliver stable handling on city streets or light trails.

Powering the scooter is a 125 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four-valve engine producing 12.1 HP and 11.7 Nm of peak torque. Fuel-injected and BS6 Phase 2 compliant, it claims 46 kmpl from an 8-liter tank and a 100-105 kmph top speed, outpacing typical air-cooled rivals. The CVT automatic transmission ensures effortless acceleration.
Telescopic front forks and gas-charged twin rear shocks absorb bumps effectively. Braking combines a 230 mm front disc and 220 mm rear drum with dual-channel switchable ABS, prioritizing safety in traffic.

The scooter will be priced post-introductory at Rs 1.38 lakh. The Mobster targets TVS Ntorq and Honda Activa premium buyers with superior refinement. VLF's shift from electrics like the Tennis to this ICE model underscores petrol's relevance amid EV growth. Production ramp-up at Kolhapur ensures timely deliveries, positioning VLF as a fresh premium contender.
The VLF Mobster 135 truly stands apart in the competitive 125 cc scooter segment with its unique blend of Italian design, advanced liquid-cooled engine, and cutting-edge tech like dual-channel ABS and traction control. As deliveries begin soon, this scooter promises to redefine premium commuting in India, appealing to style-conscious and performance-seeking riders alike.
