Key Features and Design

The 2026 Harley Davidson Super Glide pays tribute to the 1971 FX Super Glide, one of the first motorcycles styled by Willie G. Davidson. The original model combined the Big Twin FL chassis with the narrower XL Sportster front fork, creating a factory custom formula that became central to Harley-Davidson’s brand identity.
The new Super Glide continues this tradition within the modern Cruiser family, built on the Softail chassis. It features White Onyx Pearl paint, red and blue striping, and a stretched Bar and Shield tank graphic. Chrome details are prominent across the laced wheels, console, mini ape handlebars, teardrop fuel tank, round air cleaner, exhaust, side covers, fender struts, signals, and headlamp. Each unit's serialized number appears on the fuel tank console.
Performance and Technology
The Super Glide uses the Milwaukee-Eight 117 Classic V-twin engine, displacing 1,923cc. It produces 97 HP of maximum power and 163 Nm of peak torque. The engine is tuned for easy rideability, offering a flat torque curve.
The Softail frame reduces weight while maintaining stiffness. The hidden rear monoshock preserves the classic hardtail look. Up front, the motorcycle uses 49mm dual-bending valve forks, while the rear features an under-seat hydraulic preload adjustment.
The electronics suite includes Rider Safety Enhancements. These features offer straight-line and cornering ABS, straight-line and cornering traction control, and drag torque slip control. The Super Glide has three ride modes: Road, Sport, and Rain. Road mode provides balanced performance for daily use, Sport mode delivers a stronger throttle response, and Rain mode reduces aggression for low-grip conditions.
All lighting is LED, including a 5.75-inch headlamp with a signature ring and combination stop, tail, and turn lights at the rear. The cockpit features a five-inch console-mounted instrument cluster with an analog speedometer and a multifunction LCD display.
Liberty Edition Collection
Harley-Davidson has also introduced the Road Glide Liberty Edition as part of its 2026 Liberty Edition Enthusiast Collection. This collection includes the Street Glide, Street Glide 3 Limited, and Heritage Classic Liberty Edition motorcycles. These models, including the Super Glide, commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States with special graphics and paint that highlight Harley-Davidson’s American heritage.
