Volkswagen Taigun Facelift Launched in India with New Eight-Speed Automatic

Volkswagen has launched the updated Taigun SUV in India, starting at Rs. 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The facelifted model features an eight-speed automatic transmission and is now arriving at local dealerships. Deliveries are expected to begin soon.

Key Exterior and Interior Updates

The new Taigun receives several exterior changes. These include LED light bars at both the front and rear, illuminated Volkswagen logos, and revised lighting elements. The alloy wheels also feature a fresh design.

Inside, the compact SUV offers a new virtual cockpit and an updated operating system for the infotainment system. Other features include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated and powered front seats, a rear wiper and washer, six airbags, front and rear parking sensors, rear AC vents, automatic climate control, and a cooled glove box.

Engine and Transmission Options

The updated Taigun continues with the 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre TSI petrol engines from the previous version. Transmission options now include a six-speed manual, a seven-speed DSG, and the new eight-speed torque converter automatic unit.
