Xiaomi, the Chinese smartphone giant, has entered the electric vehicle market with its first car, the SU7. The SU7 was unveiled at the Stride launch event in Beijing on December 28, 2023, and is expected to go on sale in China in the first half of 2024.

The SU7 is a sleek and futuristic Sedan that competes with the likes of Tesla Model Y, BMW iX3, and Mercedes-Benz EQC. It has a length of 4,997 mm, a width of 1,963 mm, a height of 1,440 mm, and a wheelbase of 3,000 mm. It weighs between 1,980-2,205 kg, depending on the specification.

Motor and Power
The SU7 offers two powertrain options: a rear-wheel-drive version with a 299 hp electric motor and a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive version with a combined output of 673 hp.
This car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds and 3.8 seconds, respectively, and has a top speed of 210 km/h and 265 km/h, respectively.
Battery
The SU7 also offers two battery pack options: a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery from BYD and a larger lithium-ion battery from CATL.
The LFP battery has a capacity of 70 kWh and a range of 400 km, while the CATL battery has a capacity of 100 kWh and a range of 600 km. Both batteries support fast charging and can be charged from 10% to 80% in 30 minutes.
Interior
The SU7 features a minimalist and spacious interior with a large horizontal touchscreen infotainment system that runs on Xiaomi’s own HyperOS.
The sedan also comes with a host of advanced features and technologies, such as autonomous driving, Lidar, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, blind spot detection, 360-degree camera, wireless charging, and ambient lighting.
