Yesterday 21/09/2022, Yamaha launched three two-wheelers – the Yamaha R15V4 (A new version of the R15 motorcycle), the R15M and the Aerox scooter. The price for Yamaha R15 V4 starts at Rs 1.67 lakh, ex-showroom and goes up to Rs 1.72 lakh, ex-showroom. The R15M version is priced at Rs 1.77 lakh, ex-showroom.
The newly launched Yamaha R15 V4 motorcycle looks a lot sportier than the older version and is inspired by the design of Yamaha’s R7 sports bike. Yamaha R15 gives a 150 cc segment. The Aerox 155, which was also launched today, is Yamaha’s first maxi-scooter in India.

Yamaha will be offering R15 in two variants. There is the regular R15 and a much sportier-looking R15M version. The R15 V4 gets an updated design with features like upside-down front forks, updated digital instrument cluster that supports smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth. The motorcycle now has a redesigned front fascia with a bi-projector single headlamp and two LED DRLs. The golden coloured front forks add to the sporty character of the bike

The design is of the front fairing has also been redesigned to make it more aerodynamic. The motorcycle is still powered by the same 155-cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled fuel injection engine. The updated features on the motorcycle include a quickshifter, assist and slipper clutch as standard. Yamaha is also offering traction control with version 4 of the YZF R15 motorcycle. This feature is also standard on the R15 model.

Coming to the sportier-looking R15M version, Yamaha has made some cosmetic changes to the motorcycle to differentiate it from the regular R15. It gets a different paint job and the front brake callipers are finished in golden shade. There is a 3D emblem on the tank and it also gets a different or sporty looking seat. All the other features on the motorcycle are the same as the regular R15 model.

Yamaha R15 version 4 is available in 4 colour options. There is Metallic Grey, Racing Blue, Dark Knight and Metallic Red colours on offer. The Metallic Grey is available only with the R15M version.
Yamaha Aerox
The next launch from Yamaha is the maxi sport scooter Aerox. By launching Aerox, Yamaha aims at popularising this segment in the Indian market. This scooter offers a sharp and sporty design with features like all-LED headlamps, fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, single-channel ABS, external fuel lid, large under seat storage, twin rear shock absorbers, idle start-stop system, side stand engine cut off and many more features.

Yamaha also unveiled the Ray ZR 125 Fi scooter with Hybrid technology. Earlier this year, Yamaha had mentioned that they will be launching the Hybrid technology in the Ray ZR 125 scooter. The same technology is also used in Fascino 125 as well. The price for Ray ZR 125 Fi Hybrid starts at Rs 76,830, ex-showroom.
