Design drawings of the Zero Lompico, an upcoming electric motorcycle from California-based Zero Motorcycles, have emerged online. These images provide the clearest view yet of the bike before its official debut. The drawings show that the Lompico shares its core mechanical components with the HeroVida VxZ concept, first shown at EICMA 2025 and later patented in India.
Key Highlights
- Zero Lompico design drawings reveal shared platform with Hero Vida VxZ
- Both bikes use the Z-Force 75-5 motor with 30 kW output and 8.8 kWh battery pack
- Distinctive design differences set Lompico apart from the conventional Vida VxZ
- Hero has filed design patents for Vida VxZ in India indicating possible domestic launch
Shared Platform and Technical Details

The design drawings confirm that the Zero Lompico and Hero Vida VxZ use largely the same mechanical package. Both motorcycles appear to share the frame, motor, battery pack, suspension, brakes, and wheels. The powertrain is believed to include the Z-Force 75-5 motor, already used in the Zero FX. This motor produces 30 kW, or 40 horsepower. The motor is expected to work with a new 8.8 kWh battery pack, which is housed in a steel tubular frame.
Despite these shared underpinnings, the two motorcycles look quite different. The Vida VxZ features a conventional roadster-like design. In contrast, the Lompico adopts a more distinctive and futuristic appearance. The front end of the Lompico has sharp bodywork and a headlight set within winglet-inspired panels. The tank section is slimmer and more angular than what is seen in Hero's patent filings.
Design Differences and Market Plans
Hero first unveiled the Vida VxZ at EICMA 2025, describing it as a collaborative project with Zero Motorcycles. At the time, few technical details were released. Since then, Hero has filed design patents for the motorcycle in India. This move suggests that a domestic launch in India is under consideration.
The Lompico name may not be used for the production model. Recent trademark filings indicate that Zero could market the motorcycle under the 'SF' name instead. A similar situation could occur with the Vida VxZ. The name 'Vida x Zero' highlights the collaboration between the two manufacturers, but the final production model could receive a different name.
The emergence of these design drawings offers a detailed look at the upcoming electric motorcycles from Zero and Hero. The shared platform approach allows both companies to offer distinct products while benefiting from common engineering and development efforts.
