TVS Motors expects the auto industry to recover quickly from the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, it has launched a new tech-loaded scooter, TVS Ntorq 125 Race XP, for Rs 83,275. The tri-colour paint scheme is one of the attraction factors along with the Voice Assistant feature.
While the tri-color paint looks inviting, the scooter gets a race-inspired body to add the element of sportiness. In addition, the red-coloured wheels add to the excitement quotient.
The TVS Ntorq 125 Race XP highlights are its dual riding modes and SmartXonnect connectivity system featuring the innovative Voice Assistant feature. Besides, it covers other connectivity functions like navigation, mode changes, DND (Do Not Disturb) feature, and the console brightness adjustment facility. In addition, the navigational feature includes the Save Address feature.
The new, improved features ensure better gas-flow dynamics resulting in better riding performance. In addition, TVS claims that Ntorq's Street Mode ride mode offers better fuel efficiency.
The scooter retains the 125cc single-cylinder engine that comes equipped with race-tuned fuel injection technology. This engine can churn out decent power of 10bhp and 10.8Nm torque while delivering top speeds up to 98kmph. Thus, TVS claims the Ntorq 125 Race XP as the most powerful scooter in its niche.
TVS Motors' Vice President (Marketing), Aniruddha Haldar, comments that they have launched this scooter, keeping in mind the requirements of the GenZ customers as it delivers the most powerful performance in its segment. Besides, it comes with first-in-segment features, dual riding modes, superior acceleration, and a higher top speed.

The recently launched Maruti Suzuki Swift is set to receive its very own CNG variant. The current Swift, a 4th-generation model, is available only with a 1.2-liter Z-series petrol engine, boasting best-in-class fuel efficiency of 24.80 km/L (MT Gearbox) and 25.57 km/L (AMT Gearbox). Maruti's new CNG variant is expected to outperform the previous 3rd-generation CNG variant with an improved fuel efficiency of 1-2 km/L, bringing the new efficiency to an impressive 31.9-33 km/L.
The 4th-generation CNG Swift, even with the efficiency of the previous generation, is poised to lead the segment. It will outperform competitors such as the Tata Tiago CNG, which offers a company-claimed fuel efficiency of 26.49 km/L, and the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios CNG, which has the second-best CNG fuel efficiency at 27 km/L.

With effect from June 1, 2024, Maruti Suzuki has announced a significant price reduction on some of its best-selling cars equipped with AMT (Automated Manual Transmission), with discounts of up to Rs. 5000. This price cut applies to popular models such as the Maruti Baleno, Maruti Fronx, Maruti Dzire, Maruti Wagon-R, Maruti Ignis, Maruti Celerio, Maruti S-Presso, and Maruti Alto K10. However, the recently launched Maruti Swift 4th generation is excluded from this price cut lineup.
As Maruti Suzuki prepares to launch its Dream Editions, the company is facing a decline in Year-on-Year (YoY) and Year-to-Date (YTD) sales in its mini and compact car segments. This strategic price reduction is likely aimed at boosting sales and attracting more customers to these popular AMT models.
