Tata Motors recently introduced the highly anticipated Altroz Racer in India, which has quickly gained recognition as India's fastest hatchback. This remarkable achievement has been officially acknowledged in the India Book of Records, a milestone that Tata Motors proudly shared on their social media platforms. The record-breaking performance was accomplished by the renowned racing driver Narain Karthikeyan.

Altroz Racer Specification

Under the hood, the Altroz Racer is equipped with a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine, borrowed from its larger counterpart, the Nexon. This engine produces an impressive 120 hp and 170 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The Altroz Racer is offered in three dynamic variants - R1, R2, and R3, and is available in three vibrant colors: Pure Grey, Atomic Orange, and Avenue White. Prices for this sporty hatchback start at Rs 9.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

It established a new lap record at the CoASTT High Performance Centre, achieving a time of 2 minutes and 21.74 seconds. This exceptional lap time was set on June 25th by former Formula One driver Narain Karthikeyan, firmly positioning the Altroz Racer ahead of its competitors, the i20 N Line and Fronx Turbo.
