It has the USP of being a very feather like, light weighted bike which adds to the ease of riding. Saluto RX is Yamaha’s entry-level offering available in the 110cc commuter segment. The new BlueCore technology and the platform that the brand plans to adopt further strengthens the engine making a performance led vehicle which far more efficient now. Cosmetically, the Yamaha Saluto RX is inspired by the bigger 125cc sibling, the Saluto. It gets the same traditional styling with a host of elegant paint schemes. The front features a bikini fairing with a curvy headlamp unit, while the tank is moulded to give it a slightly muscular look. The instrument cluster is minimalistic and integrates an analogue speedometer and fuel gauge along with other basic elements. The 2018 update has introduced the new colour palate with four new shades and new graphics. The Yamaha Saluto RX is strengthened by an 110cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine, delivering 7.4bhp of power and 8.5Nm of torque. This engine is paired to a four-speed constant mesh transmission. The Saluto RX tips the scales at just 98kgs which is very low, and this weight plays an important role in helping the bike deliver a company-claimed 82kmpl of mileage. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic fork up front and dual shock absorbers at the back. Unified Braking System (UBS) equips the bike with drum brakes at both ends. The Yamaha Saluto RX competes with the Hero Splendor iSmart 110, Mahindra Centuro, Honda CD 110 Dream and the TVS Victor.
