The engine options on the Alcazar include a 2-liter naturally aspirated petrol making 157bhp and 191nm torque also there is a 1.5-liter diesel powertrain making 113bhp and 250nm torque, while both these engines come with manual and automatic transmission options. The ARAI certified mileage of the Alcazar petrol is 14.2kmpl for manual and 14.5kmpl for automatic whereas for the diesel engine it is 20.4kmpl for manual and 18.1kmpl for the automatic version.

Alcazar is differentiated from the Creta by the large chrome studded cascading grille up-front which is just re-designed under the LED DRL, also the front bumper is re-profiled with new fog-lamp housing with turn indicators and a new skid plate up front. From the sides is where the difference is easy to spot with the Alcazar having a longer wheelbase and thus longer body than the Creta. The rear quarter glass is nicely designed and is large with the floating roof design with a blacked-out C-pillar. There are new diamond-cut alloy wheels on offer with a side footstep while the rear is totally new and different from the Creta with a chrome strip running the width of the car with the Alcazar naming on it and it joins the tail-lights which are also newly-designed with a honey-comb pattern.

On the inside the cabin is like the Creta's but feels more premium with added goodies in terms of first-in-segment features like a 10-inch digital instrument cluster, auto air purifier, sliding sun visors, 8-speaker Bose sound system as well as a blind view monitor. The colors of the interior have been changed with a new cognac brown trim combination with black used making the interior feel a class above, also the flat bottomed steering wheel and 10-inch infotainment unit make the car feel sporty and comfortable at the same time.
