Exterior and Color Updates

The exterior design of the Land Cruiser 250 remains largely unchanged. However, Toyota now offers round Bi-Beam LED headlights with the VX trim. These headlights were previously exclusive to the First Edition model. Other variants continue with rectangular triple-beam LED headlights. Toyota has also updated the color palette. The new Neutral Black shade replaces the previous black option, and a new sand color is now available. Platinum White Pearl Mica and Avant-Garde Bronze Metallic remain part of the lineup.
Interior Features and Technology

Inside, the Land Cruiser 250 gains electrically adjustable front seats with memory function. The VX trim receives the Toyota Teammate Advanced Drive system. This system includes a traffic jam assistant, lane change assistant, and forward cross-traffic alert. The VX trim also adds an emergency steering function and a camera that monitors the driver continuously.
Enhanced Anti-Theft Measures
Toyota has strengthened the Land Cruiser 250’s anti-theft features. The SUV now uses a key-to-key vehicle proximity detection system. The engine will not start unless a key is detected nearby. The T-Connect My Start Lock feature allows owners to remotely disable the engine. These updates respond to the Land Cruiser 250’s status as the most stolen vehicle in Japan, accounting for about 30% of vehicle thefts in the country. Currently, these security updates are available only for petrol variants. Diesel variants will receive them after December 2026.
Engine Options and Performance
The Land Cruiser 250 continues with its existing engines. The 2.7-litre inline-4 naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 163 PS and 246 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 6-speed Super ECT automatic transmission and delivers 7.5 km/l as per WLTC standards. The 2.8-litre turbo diesel engine generates 204 PS and 500 Nm of torque, mated to an 8-speed Direct Shift-8AT automatic transmission. Diesel variants offer a WLTC-rated mileage of around 11 km/l, depending on grade and tires. All versions feature full-time 4WD and off-road systems like Multi-Terrain Select and Crawl Control.
