Hero MotoCorp has revealed the 2024 Destini 125, marking a significant update to its popular 125cc scooter after nearly six years. The new Hero Destini 125 highlights a complete redesign, enhanced features, and improved performance. Available in three variants - VX, ZX, and ZX+ - the scooter offers a range of options to suit different consumer preferences. The update includes LED lighting, a metal front fender, and redesigned side panels, elevating its visual appeal.
The 2024 Destini 125 introduces several noteworthy features across its variants. The entry-level VX model offers basic amenities, while the mid-range ZX adds a Bluetooth-enabled digital dashboard, front disc brake, and auto-cancelling indicators - a first in its segment. The top-tier ZX+ variant further enhances the package with bronze-finished chrome accents and machined alloy wheels.
Key features of the 2024 Hero Destini 125 include:
- Combined Braking System (CBS) as standard
- Side stand engine cut-off
- Boot light and USB charging port
- External fuel filler
- 19-litre under-seat storage plus 2-litre front apron cubby
The scooter's revised chassis now accommodates 12-inch wheels front and rear, with a wider 100/80-12 rear tire. Despite a 57mm longer wheelbase, handling is improved through a sharper rake angle and repositioned swingarm pivot point.
Powering the 2024 Destini 125 is the familiar air-cooled, 124.6cc, single-cylinder engine, producing 9.12 bhp at 7,000 rpm and 10.4 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. Hero claims to have fine-tuned the CVT calibration for better refinement and fuel efficiency, with a claimed mileage of 59 km/l (ICAT tested).
Although official pricing information has not been released yet, the new model is expected to be priced higher than the current version, which ranges from ₹80,048 to ₹86,538 (ex-showroom).
