Kia patents the 2025 EV6 facelift in India, featuring a larger battery, redesigned exterior, and enhanced interior, suggesting a potential launch next year.
Kia has recently patented the design of its 2025 EV6 facelift in India, suggesting a potential launch in the country. The updated EV6, which made its global debut in May, features revised aesthetics, new features, and improved mechanicals. Set to replace the current pre-facelift model, the 2025 Kia EV6 is expected to arrive in India sometime next year, continuing its position as Kia's flagship electric vehicle in the region.
The new battery supports 350kW DC charging, allowing a 10% to 80% charge in just 18 minutes.
When launched, the updated EV6 is expected to continue as a CBU import in India. It will face competition from other premium electric crossovers like the Mini Countryman Electric, BMW iX1, Mercedes EQA, and its corporate cousin, the Hyundai Ioniq 5.
The 2025 Kia EV6 will be offered in two versions globally: EV6 Air and EV6 GT-Line. A high-performance EV6 GT variant is planned for future release. While the Indian market currently has limited electric vehicle options from Kia and Hyundai, the introduction of the EV6 facelift could signify a step towards expanding their EV portfolio in the country.
As electric vehicles gain popularity in India, the arrival of the 2025 Kia EV6 facelift could provide consumers with an updated option in the premium EV segment. However, pricing and exact specifications for the Indian market are yet to be announced.
