Bentley Torcal electric SUV to debut globally in September 2026
Bentley’s upcoming Torcal electric SUV is set to debut globally in September 2026, showcasing the brand’s shift toward electrification with premium design, cutting-edge features, and high-performance electric capabilities.
Bentley has confirmed its first production electric vehicle will be called the Torcal. The luxury electric SUV is set for a global debut on September 23, 2026. It will join the Bentayga, Continental, and Flying Spur as the fourth model line in Bentley’s portfolio.
Key Highlights
- The Bentley Torcal electric SUV is to debut globally on September 23 2026.
- Torcal will use Volkswagen Group’s Premium Platform Electric architecture.
- The SUV will offer fast charging with up to a 160 km range in about seven minutes.
- Expected to feature dual-motor all-wheel drive and an advanced infotainment display.
Model Details and Platform
The Torcal name takes inspiration from the El Torcal de Antequera limestone formations in southern Spain. Bentley describes the Torcal as a "Luxury Urban SUV" designed to expand its electric vehicle lineup. The SUV will be built on Volkswagen Group’s Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture. This platform also supports the upcoming Porsche Cayenne Electric and Audi A6 e-tron.
Bentley has stated that the Torcal will measure less than five metres in length. This suggests it may be positioned below the Bentayga in the brand’s range. The company aims to offer a fast-charging feature, allowing the Torcal to recover up to 160 km of driving range in about seven minutes under suitable charging conditions.
Design and Features
Bentley has not released full images of the Torcal, but teaser images show slim LED lighting at both the front and rear. The SUV will feature a gently sloping rear windscreen and a roof-mounted spoiler. Test vehicles seen overseas display an enclosed front grille, illuminated detailing, and design elements similar to the latest Continental and Flying Spur models.
Interior spy photographs indicate the Torcal may include a curved portrait-orientated infotainment display. The switchgear appears similar to that found in newer Audi models. However, Bentley has not confirmed the final production interior or features.
Technical Specifications and Expectations
Bentley has not yet disclosed full technical specifications for the Torcal. The SUV is expected to use a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system. Reports suggest it could share the 113 kWh battery pack with the upcoming Porsche Cayenne Electric.
Bentley has not confirmed the battery capacity or performance figures for the Torcal. More details about the Torcal’s features, specifications, and pricing are expected to be announced closer to its global debut in September 2026.
CarBike 360 Says
The Bentley Torcal electric SUV represents a defining moment in the brand’s electrification journey, blending luxury craftsmanship with advanced EV innovation. With its global debut scheduled for September 2026, the Torcal is poised to set new benchmarks in the premium electric SUV segment, reinforcing Bentley’s commitment to sustainable performance and future-ready mobility.
