2026 Maserati GranTurismo and GranCabrio gets more power and advanced features
Maserati updates its iconic GranTurismo and GranCabrio for 2026 with improved power, advanced features, and a sharper focus on performance and luxury.

Maserati has revealed updated versions of its GranTurismo coupe and GranCabrio convertible for 2026. The Italian automaker has refined both the combustion and electric powertrains. The updates include design changes and new features for both models.
Key Highlights
- Maserati updates GranTurismo and GranCabrio for 2026 with engine and feature enhancements
- Trofeo variant now produces 590 HP with recalibrated gearbox and increased turbo boost pressure
- Folgore electric models offer 761 HP and a 540 km range with new motor disconnect system
- New design elements include reshaped air intakes, clear rear lights, and expanded color options
- Maserati expands Indian dealer network and awaits India-EU free trade agreement details
Design and Feature Enhancements

The updated models feature a redesigned front end with reshaped air intakes and a central splitter to increase front downforce. At the rear, the lights now have clear lenses. The electric and combustion models are visually similar, with the main differences being wheel design, a convertible roof, and the absence of rear exhaust tips on the EVs.

Buyers can personalize their cars through the Officine Fuoriserie program, which now offers seven new exterior colors: Green Jupiter Matte, Blu Denim, Bronzo Lucido or Matte, Grigio Mistero, Rosso Velluto, and Oro Lirico. New colored badges and exhaust tips are also available.
Interiors and Features

Inside, the 2026 Maserati GranTurismo and GranCabrio receive a new racing-inspired steering wheel with flat upper and lower sections and dark satin aluminum spokes. The steering wheel is available with perforated leather. The digital clock has a new octagonal design, metal bezel, updated graphics, and a pop-up function for mode changes.
The drive selector features metal-finished controls, and the steering-wheel paddles now include a parking function. The cabin is equipped with a 12.3-inch central touchscreen, an 8.8-inch HVAC display, a 12.2-inch instrument cluster, and a head-up display. A new monitoring system detects driver distraction and fatigue.
Engine and Performance Upgrades

Both the GranTurismo and GranCabrio continue to use Maserati's 3-liter twin-turbo V6 Nettuno engine. The Modena variant produces 490 HP, while the Trofeo variant now delivers 590 HP. This marks a 40 HP increase for the Trofeo, achieved by raising turbo boost pressure and making minor modifications. The eight-speed automatic gearbox in both models has been recalibrated for improved responsiveness.
The electric Folgore versions of the GranTurismo and GranCabrio retain their 92.5 kWh battery. These models use three motors—two at the rear and one at the front—producing a combined 761 HP. Maserati engineers have increased the claimed single-charge range to 540 km, which is 90 km more than before.
The GranTurismo Folgore can reach a top speed of 325 kph, while the GranCabrio Folgore has a maximum speed of 290 kph. All versions now come standard with all-wheel drive and air suspension. Maserati has introduced a new 'Country' drive mode for rougher roads, raising the ride height by 25 mm at speeds up to 120 kph.
Maserati's India Strategy
Maserati is focusing on expanding its presence in India. The company is in talks with local investors to grow its dealer network. On June 12, Maserati announced that Navnit Motors will start retail operations in Mumbai, joining existing dealerships in Delhi and Bengaluru. In addition to the GranTurismo and GranCabrio, Maserati also sells the Grecale SUV and MC20 supercar in India.
The company is awaiting further details on the India-EU free trade agreement, which could lower car import duties. Some brands, such as Ferrari, have already begun accepting orders at prices about 30 percent lower in anticipation of the agreement.

These enhancements not only strengthen their appeal in the luxury sports car segment but also reaffirm Maserati’s commitment to innovation while preserving its grand touring heritage, making both models more desirable than ever.
