The 2026 Skoda Slavia facelift has been spotted testing in India. It will feature exterior and interior updates, a new 8-speed automatic for the 1.0-litre engine, and retain its current safety features and engine options.

Skoda continues testing the 2026 Slavia facelift in India, with the latest sightings in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The updated sedan is expected to launch later this year, following the recent introduction of the Kushaq facelift. Skoda aims to strengthen its position in the Indian market with refreshed models and new features.
Key Highlights
- 2026 Skoda Slavia facelift spied testing in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar
- Facelift to feature updated grille, bumpers, and new alloy wheel designs
- Interior upgrades include a 10.1 inch touchscreen and wireless smartphone connectivity
- 1.0 litre turbo petrol engine gets new 8 speed automatic transmission
- Current safety features and engine options will be retained
Exterior and Design Updates

The 2026 Slavia facelift will feature a refreshed front fascia. The slatted grille appears similar to the current model, but camouflage may hide a flatter design, echoing the Kushaq facelift. The current protruding grille could be trimmed for a cleaner look. Lighting elements and the front bumper are also set for updates, with the bumper likely to get more prominent inserts instead of the mesh pattern.
The side profile will remain largely unchanged. However, new alloy wheel designs are expected. The sedan will retain body-coloured door handles, a sloping roofline, and blacked-out ORVMs with integrated turn signals. At the rear, the facelift may introduce connected tail lamps with illuminated SKODA lettering. The bumper appears flatter and wider compared to the current layered design. New exterior colour options could also be offered.
Interior Features and Equipment

Inside, the Slavia facelift will mirror many updates from the Kushaq facelift. Expected features include a rear seat massage function, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a 10.25-inch instrument display with turn-by-turn navigation. The current single-pane electric sunroof will continue, as the panoramic sunroof from the Kushaq is not expected for the Slavia.
Advanced driver assistance systems, such as Level 2 ADAS, have not been introduced in the Kushaq facelift and are unlikely for the Slavia facelift at this time. The Slavia will continue to offer a comprehensive safety package, including six airbags, electronic stability control, multi-collision braking, electronic differential lock, traction control, brake disc wiping, and hill hold control.
Engine and Transmission Options
The Slavia facelift will retain its current engine lineup. The 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine produces 116 PS and 178 Nm of torque. This engine will now be paired with a new 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission, replacing the previous 6-speed automatic. The 6-speed manual transmission will remain available. The 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, generating 150 PS and 250 Nm of torque, will continue with a 7-speed DSG transmission.
With these updates, the 2026 Slavia facelift may see a price revision. The current model starts at Rs 9.99 lakh. The Slavia competes with models like the Volkswagen Virtus in the Indian sedan market.
