Hyundai is making its way to bring the next chapter of SUVs to the Indian automotive market. The South Korean brand is bringing its next generation of the Hyundai Creta to India. Moreover, the next generation of Creta was once again spied while testing on Indian roads. This upcoming vehicle will be the third generation of the current model and was spied while still wrapped under heavy camouflage.
As the test mule was spied once again, many design and exterior changes were shown. However, these fresh spy shots have revealed some significant changes that underline Hyundai’s enhancement to push its best-selling mid-size SUV. Let’s take a look at the spied test mule of the upcoming 2027 Hyundai Creta.

The recent test mule spotted shows major design changes from the current model. One of the most prominent changes was the introduction of all-new 19-inch alloy wheels, wrapped in 235/45 section tyres. This new tyre section will give a more aggressive stance to the car, making it more premium. With these larger wheels, the 2027 Creta hints at a slightly wider track and a more planted road presence.
Although the prototype remains heavily camouflaged, familiar design cues are visible. The SUV’s proportions seem slightly larger, featuring a more sculpted stance with redesigned front and rear fascias. The front grille appears wider, possibly integrating Hyundai’s new parametric pattern seen in recent global models like the Tucson and Santa Fe.

Talking about its interior renovation, the major updates can be seen in the passenger front seats. The brand might now offer the all-new 2027 Creta with an electrically adjustable front passenger seat with accessible controls for rear occupants.
For the safety suites, Hyundai is ready to upgrade connectivity and convenience features. Some additional features include Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, and hill control assist.
Under the hood, the upcoming SUV might be powered by the current engine options available. For the base variant, the car will offer a 1.5L petrol engine; for the mid-spec variant, the car will be powered by a 1.5L turbo-petrol engine; and for diesel enthusiasts, another 1.5L diesel engine will be available for Indian customers.
Speculation around a hybrid powertrain also persists, aligning with Hyundai’s gradual electrification roadmap for India and global markets.

Hyundai has not revealed anything further for the launch timeline. However, we can expect the car to make its official debut by late 2026 in India. This upcoming Hyundai Creta will be giving tough competition to its rivals such as the Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and the newly launched Skoda Kushaq.
With Creta remaining Hyundai’s backbone in India’s SUV lineup, the new-generation model will play a pivotal role in sustaining the brand’s leadership. If the spy shots are any indication, the 2027 Creta promises to blend futuristic design, premium interiors, and advanced tech elements, setting new benchmarks for the mid-size SUV in the Indian market.
