The 2027 Kia Seltos EX base variant, equipped with a range of lifestyle accessories, debuted at the 2027 New York International Auto Show. Kia plans to launch this model in the United States between June and August 2026. By the end of 2026, a hybrid version of the Seltos will also arrive in the US, with an India launch scheduled for 2027. The Seltos has already established itself in major markets like the US and India, and the second-generation model will expand to Europe and the UK for the first time.

Key Features and Accessories

The Seltos EX base variant displayed at the show featured several lifestyle-oriented accessories. The vehicle showcased a matte finish on its body panels and unique side decals for added individuality. It came with 17-inch off-road wheels fitted with 245-section Toyo A/T tyres, enhancing its rugged appeal. A Yakima roof rack, painted in the same dual-tone color as the SUV, carried a suitcase and a kayak. At the rear, additional decals adorned the quarter panels, and an extended bike rack mounted to the frame held two bicycles.

These accessories are optional and must be purchased separately. They cater to US buyers who often seek to personalize their vehicles for lifestyle needs. In contrast, such accessory demand is less common among Indian buyers.

Powertrain and Equipment

The US-spec second-generation Kia Seltos will feature a hybrid powertrain based on a 1.6-liter turbo petrol engine. The hybrid version is expected to launch in the US by the end of 2026, while the petrol-only Seltos will be available earlier. The EX variant comes equipped with LED lighting throughout the exterior.

Notable features include powered and ventilated seats, 12.3-inch infotainment and instrumentation displays, a 360-degree camera system, and 24 advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) features. These features aim to enhance comfort, safety, and convenience for drivers and passengers.
