Ather Energy has announced to raise the price of its electric scooter Rizta from the 1st day of the New Year, 2025. This scooter was launched recently and the company is raising its price just a few months after the launch. This is an indication that this family-friendly scooter is gaining so much popularity among Indian consumers.
Currently, the Ather Rizta is available in three variants:
- Rizta S which is priced at ₹1.10 lakh
- Rizta Z 2.9, which is priced at ₹1.27 lakh
- Rizta Z 3.7, which is priced at ₹1.46 lakh
After 1st January 2025, the price of the Rizta series will be increased by ₹4,000 to ₹6,000. However, it is not disclosed how much the price hike will affect each variant. In addition, customers can opt for a Pro Pack that unlocks various features for an extra cost of ₹13,000 to ₹20,000 depending on the variant.
The Rizta is designed for family use and is built on the same platform as Ather's sporty 450 models. It shares key components like the battery and motor but also has new features such as the Magic Twist regenerative braking system from the 450 Apex.
With this price increase, the Ather Rizta will become even more premium compared to competitors such as Bajaj, TVS, and Hero. The scooter is already positioned at a higher price point compared to other electric scooters in India. Looking further into 2025, it will be interesting to see how this affects Ather's sales performance with these price hikes.
