This upgrade significantly improves the current-generation Q7's design, technology, and powertrain while prolonging its lifespan. The Q7 was first introduced in 2015. The Audi Q7 facelift, which debuted globally in January 2024, incorporates several design updates inspired by its newer siblings:

  • Redesigned OLED Headlamps: Customizable light signatures akin to the Q6 e-tron.
  • New Front Grille: Features a thicker chrome surround with a hexagonal pattern.
  • Revised Bumpers: Styled similar to the Q8 SUV, giving the Q7 a more modern look.

These changes add a contemporary aesthetic to the aging Q7 while keeping it competitive in the premium SUV segment.

The Audi Q7 facelift retains its powerful 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 petrol engine, delivering:

  • Power: 340 hp
  • Torque: 500 Nm
  • Transmission: 8-speed automatic gearbox
  • Drivetrain: Audi’s quattro AWD system

Performance Figures

Top speed of 250 kph.

Notably, Audi discontinued the diesel variants of the Q7 in India as part of its shift towards petrol and electric powertrains.

Interior Upgrades: Enhanced Tech and Comfort

The dashboard layout remains largely unchanged but introduces new tech-focused enhancements:

  • Virtual Cockpit Update: Includes a lane-change warning system.
  • Infotainment System: Updated interface but still features wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Upholstery Options

  • Cedar Brown
  • Saiga Beige

While the cabin retains its luxurious appeal, the upgrades focus primarily on technology integration, enhancing the overall driving and passenger experience.

Competitors in the Indian Market

The Q7 facelift remains a three-row luxury SUV and competes directly with:

  • BMW X5: ₹97 lakh - ₹99 lakh.
  • Mercedes-Benz GLE: ₹97.85 lakh.
  • Volvo XC90: ₹1.01 crore.

Each rival offers unique features and capabilities, but the Q7’s timeless design, advanced features, and Audi’s quattro technology give it a strong position.
