Bentley Flying Spur updated with new design and hybrid powertrain

Bentley has unveiled an updated version of its fourth-generation Flying Spur luxury sedan. The refreshed model features significant design, technology, and powertrain updates. These changes bring the Flying Spur closer in appearance to the latest Continental GT and expand the available model range.

Key Design Changes

The most notable change is at the front, where the Flying Spur now features a new headlamp design inspired by the Continental GT. This marks the first time in over sixty years that a Bentley sedan does not use the brand’s traditional quad-headlamp layout. The front fascia also includes redesigned air intakes and updated bumper details.

Along the side, Bentley has removed the slim fender vent that was previously located behind the front wheels. At the rear, the sedan receives updated LED lighting signatures, a revised boot lid, and new wheel options. Select variants now offer 22-inch wheel designs.

Expanded Model Range and Powertrain

The updated Bentley Flying Spur line-up now consists of five variants. The Flying Spur S returns to the range, positioned below the flagship Flying Spur Speed. The S variant introduces a new plug-in hybrid V8 powertrain. This system delivers 671 BHP and 930 Nm of torque. Bentley states that the sedan can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hr in 3.7 seconds.

The Flying Spur S also includes several advanced features as standard. These include adaptive suspension, an electronic limited-slip differential, active anti-roll technology, and torque vectoring. The S variant stands out visually with dark exterior accents, including a black-finished grille, darkened lighting elements, black mirror caps, and sportier exhaust finishers.

Interior and Technology Upgrades

Inside, Bentley has expanded personalization options through its new Virtuoso Collection. Customers can choose from additional upholstery, trim, and embroidery options. The 21-speaker Naim for Mulliner sound system, previously exclusive to the limited-production Batur, is now available as an optional extra. This premium audio package comes at a significant additional cost.

Availability and Deliveries

Bentley has confirmed that orders for the updated Flying Spur are now open worldwide. Customer deliveries are scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026.
